Welcome

I believe at birth, we debut as our truest version of ourselves, honest in our needs and full in our expressions. Our cries are so loud and our coos so soft — as children, we encourage those around us to soften, to be present, and to be attentive. We inspire those around us to stretch themselves in hopes that they can make room for us. 

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, some of us noticed that our voices were hushed and silenced as we were considered 'too much.' Somewhere along the way, some of us were told with glaring eyes and disapproving mouths that who we were was 'not enough.' Somewhere along the way, some of us learned that living and breathing fully in our bodies was no longer safe. 

As we have grown older, we have all learned protective ways to stay alive, to keep close to love and connection. But in the pursuit of external love, validation, and respect, we have disconnected from ourselves. In some ways, we have lost the essence of ourselves as divine beings. 

At As We Journey, PLLC, we utilize the power of storytelling, writing, and talk therapy to work together in releasing, reclaiming, and reimagining our narratives. We will intentionally make room in our stories for our pain, joy, and triumphs; as all parts are worthy of notation in our journey toward mental wellness. 

Alongside you, I’ll be there for as long as it feels right and aligns with your treatment goals and personal needs. 

I look forward to having the special privilege of bearing witness to your journey home.
